Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great as long as you know how to use it Great eyeshadow, but you cant use a brush to apply. Must use a cotton applicator

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE PIGMENT The pigment in this shadow is literally the worst. The "mounds" of shadow are hard, and impossible to work with. Completely a waste of money! I have a HUGE collection of E.L.F products, and am DEEPLY disappointed with this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This only has one star because I can't put 0. No pigmentation. No product comes off on the brush. Even when dampened. 0/10. Would not recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good color options I've been using this eye shadow for about a year and it does and ok job and offers a lot of color options. It's baked so sometimes I wet my brush before applying it in hopes to get a more pigmented color but that doesn't really happen. They are less pigmented but it give a lighter look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed I got this as a free gift but I still expected it to work. no pigmentation, doesn't come off on your finger even if you press hard and I'm sorry but you shouldn't have to wet your brush for eyeshadow. it ended up in the bin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dislike Too baked. Using the C brush and it barely comes off of the palette. Only shows up on my lid if I use a primer also. Without a primer for it to stick to, you can't even tell anything is there. Bought this because It was smaller and I thought it would be better for travel but all of the mounds broke off the first time I packed them. Now its just a mess.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kinda maybe I bought this product about a week ago and was so excited till i went to put it on the next day and it didn't work. Yes i wet the brush and it still didn't work I don't know if i i'm doing something wrong but I honestly am really dissapointed and i was extremely excited. the only two i got to semi work were the bronzy one and the darker purple brownish looking one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful shades While its not my absolute favorite this is one of my go to products for daily use. It does hold all day wear and for me personally can stand up against sweat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little work, but great pay off! When I first received this palette, I tried wetting the shadows with the E.L.F. setting spray and using them, but didn't get much product up. I kept coming back, wetting them, and trying again with disappointing results. It really should have dawned on me to scrape them like the Baked Highlighters! But finally, today, I wet the shadows and got amazing payoff on one. They have a great metallic-ish sheen, especially the copper and sort of opal color. Definitely recommend scraping the top layer off first, and then wetting. The colors are fantastic if you get get them to work!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from impressed its good put you should wet a q-tip and rub it on the eyeshadow shade then put it on. it gives it so much more pigmentation. such a pretty pallet!!!! you can use it dry for a soft look also. work good for brow highlighters

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wasn't too sure about this at first...but... I bought this product because it was an eyeshadow I'd never used before and just the fact that it said "baked eyeshadow" stood out to me because it was something different. At first, I tried applying the shadows dry, and about damaged one of my brushes doing so. But then I learned the best way to apply these are with a wet eyeshadow brush, and when I did that, I got a lot more pigment and a longer lasting look. I wasn't too sure about this palette at first, but I actually really like it now and can't wait to try some of Elf's other eyeshadow products

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waist your money on this one. I was pretty disappointed with this product. It took a lot of effort just to get the tiniest amount of product on my brush, and when I had enough to apply, the color did not blend at all. I don't know if I just got a weird batch or something, but I have never had an eye shadow that was this difficult to apply before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from California! I have this palette and the colors didn't show up on my lids very well no matter what I tried. I used sponge applicators, all different kinds of eyeshadow brushes, but all it did was make a mess of the eyeshadow display. I then used my e.l.f. eyeshadow brush and it actually made the colors show up. I have the California palette and it does work but you have to get a ton of shadow on the brush before it even brings color to your eyelid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use the Aqua mist with it I had a lot of trouble with these when I first got them. The colors were so beautiful but it would not show up! Then I got to thinking about the aqua mist from elf and how it can resemble mac's fix plus. I sprayed it on my brush and it makes the product beautiful. The pigment actually shows in all it's glory. If you don't own it or want to go the extra mile it's not worth it, but if you do I really enjoyed it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hit or Miss I bought Texas several months ago, and I love it. Great color! I then bought the California and it is terrible. The pigment is seriously lacking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor application Very hard, not a lot of colour/product on brush and it took a lot for me to rub some onto my finger. The colours were beautiful to look at, but the don't go onto the skin well and I'd damage my brushes before I would even get a decent application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice At first I was disappointed in the pigmentation but after you get past the outer layer (I just scrubbed it off) the colour payoff is beautiful and the selection is nice. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my favorite kind of eye shadow. I've read the reviews saying even wet these palettes aren't pigmented. I don't know If they didn't apply enough water to the brush or if they got a bad palette but I wet the brush a decent amount, swipe it over the shadow a couple times and I've had no trouble getting a good pigment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Just bought California from the store and came online to pick up the rest! I think when baked eyeshadow is wet it is a lot easier to blend then regular eye shadows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing i had this in a gift set and the pigment is absolutely amazing . I find the best way to get the pigment out of these type of palettes is to used a wet blending brush and swipe the brush a few times to get the besets out come of colour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from elf's baked products are god awful I usually love everything from elf but their baked products are sooo bad. They are extremely un-pigmented its almost impossible to get any product onto a brush. Extremely disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I guess you can call it eye shadow So, I got this as a gift w/ purchase. I am glad I did not purchase it myself. I had high hopes, even with some of the negative reviews but it just did not meet standards. Although the colours look awesome, they pretty well all swatch the same. Their pigmentation is poor and the shadows do not last very long. I have yet to use them wet but I am not expecting much from that either. Avoid this palette and go for the Rose Gold of Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette instead!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hmmm Beautiful colours but to get any pigment I have to use my fingers and rub very hard I soaked my least favourite in lock and seal lol and actually got loads of colour still not sure if I'm impressed or not

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dried up eyeshadow Got this in the eyes gift set- shadows are dried/impossible to swatch or use (wet or dry) :(. it also has a lot of visible glitter than I thought. really disappoint that they gave out "free gift" of super dried up baked eyeshadow. Maybe I got a bad one, but first impression is everything. This is not a good one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not pigmented- Impossible to use I received this eyeshadow palette in the "California" shades as part of a gift with purchase promo that e.l.f. was doing. FYI I love e.l.f.- great value and great quality for most of their products. I looked at this palette online a bunch of times before getting because I thought that the baked colors were so beautiful. However, this palette is completely unusable. No matter how long I rub my brush against the shadows, I can't get enough pigment on it to get any color onto my eyelids. I don't know if I got an old dried up palette or not, and I'm not going to spend the time and effort that it takes to return it. Maybe only buy this one in a store, like Target, where you can open it up and test it first to make sure that it's usable. Good luck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Colors and Pigment I bought this recently and when I tried it, I was so excited! All of the colors are beautiful, and the pigmentation was gorgeous! Keep in mind that you need to get the shadows wet in order to get a lot of Pigment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY its is very hard to use I tried to use with my fingers and a brush i even wet my brush with fix plus and it just made the shadow super chalky not good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USE IT WET!! tons of people here say they can't get any color payoff. wet your brush, and then see. baked shadows don't work the way normal shadows do. they can be used dry, it's just crazy subtle. tooooo subtle.
