Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok This brush isn't the best, but for the price, I guess you can't complain. The bristles are a bit rough and it also sheds a little, but it does the job fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had this brush a long time. It works wonderfully because I use it for what it was designed. This is a Powder brush. Not intended for wet product. Keep this puppy dry & you'll love it too!I recommend one for each kind of powder. One for dark shadowing like camouflauging double chin & jowls. One for blush & one for mica based bronzers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality The handle broke off after a week and the bristles are rough and hard. Should be softer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Brush! This brush is perfect and for only $1 it does a great job! The bristles are softer so the powder applies with a lighter tone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good until you wash them. this brush is good until you wash them a few times and than the handle breaks off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from course texture and sheds badly the bristles are way to long to apply makeup accurately, also the texture of the bristles are really rough and it sheds bristles constantly

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not even worth a dollar I bought this and I am not satisfied. The material sheds and gets matted when I wash my brushes. And it doesn't applicate the make up good .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like don't love! I purchased the whole essential line except the brow brush. I like these brushes they work well for the price. I had a little fall out in a couple of the bigger ones and and one of the smaller ones came a loose from the ferrule, since I have washed them the don 't work as well and the powder brush has lost it shape. But I plan to purchase brush guard before my next wash and I will see if it reshape. Even though I like the I probably will not repurchase. I also have the studio line in which I have not used yet.Because I want to make sure I have brush guard befor I wash them and mess them up.But the studio line feels much softer that the essential line. And even though I have not used them there is also a little fall out in a couple of them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I bought this brush in hopes that it would sort of be like a Mac brush I've been eyeing. Now I know for a dollar it wouldn't be made out of gold or anything but I was shocked to find that not only does this brush shed every where that it was dyed horse hair. I would've probably been okay if it weren't for the nasty smell of the horse. Honestly who would want a brush that smells like it clippity clocked up to your door step?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not purchase the $1 brush!! Was not happy with this brush at all! Sheds and looks like bristles were dyed red. if you do purchase it, definitely clean it BEFORE use!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a fan I am very new to the makeup world but this brush was not worth it, the studio brushes are way better unless youre considering smaller brushes(eye,lips,ect.). It was harsh on my skin and made my makeup streak.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great size! But it Broke! I am a long time customer of ELF products! I purchased this all Total face brush a month ago at Target along with many others. I am sad to say that it has already broken. Two out of the six brushes I purchased have broken and I hope that the rest don’t suffer the same fate. I know it was only a dollar but, a product should not have to fall apart when it has been barely used.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smells like dirty horse?? :o I bought this a couple of months ago, and because I don't wear makeup every day, the bristles haven't completely fallen out, but there does seem to be a lot of bristles falling out. The bristles are hard, and when I washed it, it smelled like dirty horse!! I've been to the stables a few times and it smell exactly like that. And that just disgusts me.Also, having sensitive skin, the rough bristles made me break out in dry patches and I couldn't wear any makeup on them for weeks!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An ok brush I bought this brush about 3 months ago to apply my powder foundation. It is a pretty good brush for the price, but it is not soft at all. The bristles scratch your face and have sometimes left red patches on my pale skin. Their Studio powder brush is a much better option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why Did I Buy This I hate this brush. It sheds, it has harsh bristles, and smells bad for some reason. Just buy the studio one. DONT EVER BUY THIS BRUSH!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Bristles Are Coarse I originally got the Studio Powder Brush, but I saw this one and thought I should be using the total face brush for applying foundation, not just a powder brush. It's bristles are kind of coarse and hurt a little. It's definitely not soft like it says in the description. I immediately went back to the Studio Powder Brush. I like that one better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just pay the $2 more for the Studio brush... I was quite excited to get this because of the price and how soft the brush looked. It isn't very soft at all, the bristles aren't sleek and smooth but dull. The brush first shed when I got it, which I figured was normal. 2 months later with little usage and it looked quite pathetic. I just threw it out and went to Target and bought the Studio version..much better and haven't had any problems!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointing... I'm wondering if I should buy another one of these brushes to be sure, but when I bought it the bristles immediately fell out and were all over my face and in my eyes. There are quick fixes for this problem but not really worth doing on a $1 brush. This is the only brush by e.l.f. that has disappointed me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst brush I have ever used from any brand at all This brush is awful. It was very, very rough on the face. The bristles were so scratchy that it made my face red and irritated. Some of their stuff is okay. Now you know why their stuff is so cheap.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Really Hate This Brush I'm only 13 but I have a knack for makeup. I know a good brush when I see one and this is not one of them! Because I am a student and I don't have lots of money at hand, I can only buy what I can afford. So I walk in to Target, go to the makeup section, and go to the ELF section to score some brushes. I only had about 20 bucks in my pocket, so I got super excited when I saw a total face brush for only one dollar! I bought two and used them the next day. I used one to apply foundation and the other to apply powder. I immediately noticed that the brushes had a chemical smell. Another downside is that the brush sheds immensely. When I washed the brushes, the red dye was coming out and when they dried, the bristles were curly and frayed. This brush is super disappointing coming from ELF and I will not repurchase. I would not recommend this brush to a friend and it's a complete waste of money. I would rather cough up 30 bucks for a high end brush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome and functional staple After seeing emilynoel83's first elf brushes video, I wanted to see if this truly was as great as she promised for years now.  At target, this nice, bigger brush seemed to all look like the rest of its type(so no hit or miss) so I took the plunge and bought it for a dollar.  I must say, it may not be the softest but for animal hair it is quite soft.   It picks up powders great and you can totally use this for your whole face.  Using the end of the bristles flat on your face, you can use it as a regular powder brush to set makeup or blot.  Use the bristles on its side,  you can flip it and the flatter side fits well in the hollows of the cheek or on the cheekbones.  This brush is pretty dense but not too dense and it picks up just the right amount.  It loses a star for being a wee bit scratchy.  Also, when you wash it you want the brush cleanser combed through the brush not swirling it.  Also, oil or silicone based products make it loose it's shape if there is any residue so make sure it is completely rinsable and the fix for this is simply washing again the right way and leaving it bristles down to dry.  It also loses the star for the bristles fraying a bit and taking a bit more to dry.  Also, while washing the slight synthetic dye scent is enhanced and not very pleasant but it lessens after drying(I could only detect it when wet). Otherwise, this a great product and a staple if you don't already own brushes like this.  It's only a dollar and it acts quite a bit more expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great application and super soft I bought this brush a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it! It's super soft and it holds the right amount of powder. It also doesn't shed which is especially important to me!
