Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not pleased! My friend gave this to me for my birthday, when it was sold in a set with other makeup brushes. I had very high hopes for the cleaner since brushes and makeup I have tried by elf had been good. To try out the product I sprayed the cleaner onto a dirty brush then swirled it around on a paper towel. The product itself has a strong scent to it that immediately, after one spray, caused me to start sneezing. I found that the cleaner only got a tiny amount of makeup out of my brushes. It also left the strong scent on my brushes, and the brushes took quite a long time to dry even if I used only two or three sprays. I was extremely disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great smell ! And really gets job done ! I really liked this product. The size makes sense for the price. Elf is such a great makeup brand and they really take care of their customers. I loved it and plan on ordering this again !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Grail Brush Cleaner! This is my all time favorite brush cleaner. I've used so many different types, including making my own. What a joy that was to make. Not.Anyhoo, this passed my tried and true test with flying colors: I used it to remove the E.L.F. HD Blush from my brushes. If anyone has had any experience with these blushes, then you know that it can be frustrating to the point of tears to remove 100% of that stubborn pigment out of brushes. But breathe a sigh of relief, because this stuff has magical powers! I swear, I don't work for the company, I'm just excited to share my joy that I can reuse my blush brushes after applying the HD blush. All I do is spray the brush with this, then wipe my brushes across a terry cloth hand towel. Voila! Brand new brushes. Now I don't have to wait to use my favorite blush brushes (seriously, the HD blush WILL overshadow every single other blush that you try to put on your face. Really, I learned this the hard way. Don't ask.) So now that problem exists no more. HA! I beat you highly pigmented Encore HD Blush. So there! How do ya like them apples?Yeah, that's what I thought. Try me, I dare you. I'm armed and ready with my trusty bottle of daily brush cleaner.I just wish they made it in a bigger size. Oh well. It's so cheap that it's fine to stock up on it. No biggie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really strong smell Although I do trust that this product is sterilizing my brushes because it is mostly alcohol, I don't like how strong the perfume is. It sticks around on my brushes so much that it transfers onto my face and gives me a headache and made my skin itchHonestly, I could achieve the same result by mixing a 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water solution and use natural essential oils, and wouldn't have to worry about my skin being irritated

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Couldn't get over the smell of this product! Daily brush cleaning solution packaged in a small, spray bottle form. To use, simply spray the product over the brush bristles a few times, wipe the brush on a clean cloth, then let dry. This is not a brush shampoo, but a daily cleaning agent to use in-between applications.I love ELF and use their products on a daily basis. However, I couldn't stand the smell of this spray - the smell is extremely strong and lingers even after the brushes are dry. I used this product once before tossing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Work It just doesn't clean the foundation from my brush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the smell I bought this product as a compulsive but when I bought my elf brushes the other day. The only real upside is the nice smell that the product leaves on your brushes. Otherwise, it's just regular isopropyl alcohol and water, eh. I probably will not repurchase and just mix up my own ingredients at home once this runs out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smells Amazing! I have been using this non stop since I purchased it! It's great to spot clean your brushes between deep cleanings. It doesn't smell chemically or strong. It smells very sweet and clean. And for the price who could pass it up! Will definitely be a repurchase and kept in my makeup collection. A must have for me!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate the new formula New formula has an awful strong scent and looks so much like the "mist and set" spray that I accidentally sprayed this cleaner on my face. Not fun, especially with the strong floral scent. I miss the old formula. This formula also does not seem to work as well with cleaning my brushes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great spot cleaner I love this product, its great for when I am in a rush and don't have the time to let my brushes dry overnight. It's great to remove a dark shadow when doing a smokey eye and you need to move back to a lighter shade. I love this, it has made daily makeup application a breeze, and so much less worriesome. I just wish there was more in a bottle, that would be my only complaint. I wish there was a smaller size, and a larger size...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I actually like the smell. I wanted to order the brush shampoo and purchased this instead by mistake, and I was so nervous because of all the negative comments about the scent. However, I happen to like the smell enough that I'll repurchase for that alone. The ingredients are just alcohol, water, and perfume, but I think the smell of this is far preferable to straight up alcohol. As far as cleaning, it gets brushes clean enough in between deep cleansing sessions. My skin is very acne prone so I'm very picky about having sanitary brushes. I spritz it onto brushes right after applying makeup, then wipe them off on a washcloth. It removes the day's makeup and I feel more confident between washes that they're clean. That doesn't mean you won't still see makeup coming off when you give your brushes a deep clean, but it's better than letting product build up on them without doing any spot cleaning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for quick cleaning of makeup brushes I used to buy this at the Wal-Mart close to me and was very disappointed when they quit carrying it. I'm so glad I can order it directly from e.l.f. It extends the time between cleanings and keeps my brushes in better condition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THIS RUINS YOUR BRUSHES, DO NOT USE! this is just a pretty bottle for rubbing alcohol; it ruins your brushes if you use it daily! I have started to notice that my brushes are shedding, and it only happened after I used this everyday for a week. They are only e.l.f brushes, so it's not that much of a loss, but for those of you out there who have sigma, morphe, or mac brushes stay away from this product because it will ruin your beautiful expensive brushes. It's only safe to use this product for every 2 weeks to disinfect. I recommend to use baby shampoo, and a lint free cloth to clean your brushes daily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells Wierd Its an okay product. It smells like hospitals, and I stopped using it because the smell would get on my face brushes and I didn't want it to rub off on my face. I think that cleaning your brushes every now and then would be more convenient then using this every day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells weird It works alright for my smaller brushes and I trust that they are clean however when I used it on my bigger brushes I did not like the smell. Its been over a week and I can still smell the cleaner. It's not even that this stuff smells bad, just different and strong. It makes me want to not use it as much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is amazing! When I was younger I would use a lot of Clinique products but now as a college student I can't afford them. I tried out this brush cleaner and it was so amazing. It works so well and makes my brushes so nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from okay This daily brush cleaner is good for quick cleaning and not a deep cleaning. It does dry fast which is a plus but is doesn't completely remove makeup from the brush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overwhelming scent My skin is not very sensitive, so I have never had a problem with perfume in products before. However, the scent in this product is overwhelming! I cleaned my brushes in the evening, and I used them to apply my makeup in the morning. On my way to work, my eyes were watering and burning from the scent that was transferred from my brushes to my face.Ended up dumping it down the sink and filling the bottle with some DYI cleaner off of Pinterest. It's a shame, since the product did clean my brushes well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this spot cleaning brushes! I wish it came in a larger size because I use this almost everyday. Keep from washing my everyday brushes as often. Please make this in a larger size e.l.f.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smells too strong Works well and smells good, but the smell is too strong, my face smells like this after I use my brushes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I like this brush cleaner and I am not bothered by the smell. The smell, by the way, is of rubbing alcohol mixed with some perfume. I also feel like this could have been a waste of money. You go through these bottles very quickly. Just use some rubbing alcohol mixed with distilled water for the same result. It's even better to make your own because you can leave out all of the potentially harmful perfume, you get more product, and it's WAY CHEAPER!!! I absolutely LOVE e.l.f, don't get me wrong, but this product didn't seem worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spritz and Spray I bought this a few months ago on a whim when I was at Kmart because I was starting to get back into using makeup, and it is wonderful. Unfortunately, the smell of the formula is overwhelming, and sometimes irritates my nose and gives me a headache.
