I have to say that I'm happy I bought Wild. It's a Coral-Pink colour; perfect for summer. It goes on smooth and the colour is great! I'm not a fan of the doe-foot applicator because I find that it doesn't pick up as much product so I'm constantly digging in the tube for colour. Grr. I love this type of packaging though; it looks very professional and modern. Wild lasted an hour and a half yesterday after eating but it's very moisturizing and compliments any skin tone, I think.[...] Now, that's a strong Coral colour-Dang! And perfect for summer weather as well. I have 6 to try and will eventually get those soon.
This is pretty nice. I have no problem with these at all. Au Naturale is nice over nude lips, which is why I got it because that's what people said in reviews. Do NOT get this to use just over your normal lips. In that case, it looks weird because the gold glitters don't distribute nicely. Not that they're chunky, they just look better over nude lips. I'd give this 3 stars. Fierce is my favorite of the two. It's much brighter than it's shown on the site. It's a red that has coral undertones to it (not coral, but gives a kind of red-coral look). It's bright for a lip gloss, but it isn't too much at all, even for my fair skin. Everyone should get this one. I'd give this 5 stars.
Ok so i bought this lipgloss in bare and thought it would be really pretty. When I got it I found that the application is like impossibe!! I mean when I tried to put it on it just came out in sticky clumps!! The color was really pretty though. And I also like the "glossyness," it's more metallic than shiny. I also got the Hypershine gloss as a free gift and I thought that the mineral one would be the good one and the essential one would be pretty bad. I was wrong. The Hypershine is much better. Though not much pigmentation, the consistency is awesome! If you're planning to get a gloss, get the Hypershine!
These are great! My lips are allergic to anything not natural and these are perfect for them. Moisturizing, no smell, beautiful colors... but they don't last long on the lips. Pics are posted below of DARING and NIGHT OWL (which is alittle too dark for me). DARING looks very, very red but it goes on very sheer so don't be afraid of it. I have also reviewed and posted pics of TROPHY WIFE, AU NATURALE, FIERE in previous entry.
Okay i got this in Pagent Princess...it doesn't look like this at all! It's more of a muave pink shimmery gloss with gold specks, and it perfectly fits with the mineral lipstick in nicely nude. The color pigmentation is great just a bit sheer. I was really hoping the baby pink gloss it shows in the picture, sadly the colors are way off! I like it though it's cute and natural i like to wear with my mineral lipstick in Nicely nude. Overall it isn't so bad i like it, oh and it doesn't last long which is quite a bummer but something not to be so upset about, because it didn't claim that it is long lasting.
These looked awesome, so I oredered five colors. Should've ordered just one first. Liked the colors, except for "Au Naturale." It was much lighter than my lips, so it looked like I'd been eating powdered donuts or something. Love the consistancy and the sheerness of the color, but they are all shimmery!! It's slightly noticable when first applied, but I end up with nothing on but glitter as the color and gloss wears off. That's incredibly noticable. These glosses would probably be marvelous for anyone into the whole glitter/shimmer thing, but not so much for those of us who steer clear of that effect.
I have to say purchasing Fierce, I made a good choice. I use the Mineral Lipliner in Peachy #6721 with Fierce and it works perfectly! I'd probably match this up with the Mineral Lipstick in Cool Coral #6704. I think they would compliment each other quite nicely. As with my other reviews, it's very moisturizing, the scent (if any) is extremely light or next to nothing, it lasts probably a good 2 hours but needs reapplying, it's not sticky and the colour payoff is quite beautiful. I got this in with other items during e.l.f.'s 60% Sitewide sale a few weeks back. The price is worth it nevertheless!
I purchased this item in WILD & DARING, in the bottle both colors match the color pictured online. I was only a little disappointed with the color pigment once I tried them on, DARING had just a hint of color, but I would say that they're both pretty much like clear lipgloss with just a hint of color, nothing really noticeable. I have been allergic to almost all types of lipgloss, lispstick etc. my lips will usually crack pretty bad. This did not do that to my lips at all, in that respect I was pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, there's a good amount of product in containers for the price. I've spent more on products that didn't work & threw away. Overall I would definitely buy this again.
Online this color has a little reddish tint to it, but when I received it, it's actually more of a coral color. It's very pretty and it's a shame the real color isn't represented online. I bought this even though I hate sponge applicators...they always leave me feeling like they are dirty for some reason. This lip gloss is light, it isn't sticky and it feels good on your lips. I ticked off the "pleasant tasting" box because there isn't a taste! This is a great plus for me. All in all, it's a good lip gloss from ELF...as usual. If you're looking for a good coral color, Fierce is the way to go.
I accidentally bought two of these (in Bare) and at first, I was a little upset. I was mad that I would have two lipglosses that I was not sure if I would like... and then I tried it. There is no taste, which is great because it doesn't make me want to gag (if it was bad) and I'm not licking my lips (for the yummy flavor). It's very moisturizing and even if I'm dying of thirst, I'm not left with parched lips too. Bare is a beautiful, natural-looking color and not at all as brown as it may seem in the container. It was worth the money I spent and I'll be buying more in different colors.
I bought this lip gloss about a year ago (Night Owl) as part of my first ELF purchase. I'm kind of picky about lip glosses (hate sticky ones) but this one was a pleasant surprise, especially for the price! The color and shine are great. It has just enough sheer tint; not too light and not too dark or bright…perfect on my pale lips. I wear it either alone or over lipstick to add some shine. I recently bought a new tube (same shade) because I love it so much and didn't want to run out. Unfortunately, the new tube is noticeably stickier than the original one for some reason…not sure why!
I've reviewed this product before. I have pretty much all the colors. :) I recently pulled these glosses out of my makeup drawer and tried them again. Trendsetter is best for evening wear, Pageant Princess is my favorite! The pink color looks intense in the container, but it really isn't when you apply it. I feel that this is the most creamiest, smoothest, silkiest, pretty pink color out of the whole mineral lip gloss line. I also tried the Trophy Wife again. . . I like the 'color' in the container, but obviously that doesn't show up on your lips plus it feels very gritty from the glitter bits in it (eck!). All in all...I recommend these glosses! With Pageant Princess, you will not be disappointed! :)
I absolutely LOVE this lip gloss. I have it in Pageant Princess and Fierce. I see a lot of posts about bad color payoff, but I haven't experienced that at all with these products. I think the sheerness must vary from color to color. All I know is I get GREAT color payoff with mine. The amount you get is very generous and it's that "just right size" where it won't run out fast at all but you'll still be able to finish it before it goes bad if you use it often enough. Also, my favorite application type is sponge wand, so this is now my #1 lipgloss, not only on e.l.f., but everywhere.
I only got two of these so far in Crystal Clear and Au Natural. Crystal clear is your basic lip gloss and goes well over ANY lipstick to make it shine. Au Natural has a great sparkle to it, and I love that it is so subtle. I put this over my Natural Nymph lipstick. The gloss isn't sticky and doesn't have a smell which I really like. The wand applicator makes things a bit tough tho, since the Clear gloss is a little thicker than normal and does seem to have a clumpy application. I would recommend using your finger to apply it. Overall, the gloss does what it says it does. :) I like.
I half love these. They are surprisingly soothing for slightly dry lips. When applied in a thin layer, they give a nice shine. Applied in a thick layer: too pearly-shiny and flashy for me. Even kind'a old-fashioned. Plus, the extra pearly and shiny effects make the colors pale, rather pastel. "Fierce", for example, isn't orange, it's a creamy pale peachy shade and it's shiny. I use "Au naturel" and "Pageant princess" sparingly and they look very good on me (light skin, pale eyes, light brown hair). I would MUCH prefer to have punches of color than washes of pale colored shine.
When I first took the wand out of the gloss it seemed syrupy and I was immediately thinking sticky. Then I applied it and it had sort of a funny smell. But after wearing it I fell in love. I've read a few reviews saying no color pay off but that's actually what sold me. I don't like heavily pigmented glosses so sheer colors are awesome. Each one has a very nice sheer hint of color that look great alone or over lipstick. They feel very smooth too, they weren't sticky despite the thick texture. They last a long time as well. So don't let the texture and smell deter you because once you put it on it's nice feeling. If you are looking for dark colored gloss this is not for you. They've become my new favorite glosses.
i ordered the shade au naturale and just recieved it yesterday. i just tried it out and i have to say that i am not WOWed by any means. the color is pretty. but when i put it on my lips the glitter or shimmer in the color seemed to settle into the creases on my lips and just highlight them. i know that since its winter my lips are drier than i like BUT the shimmer in the color makes it very hard to get and KEEP a smooth and even look. it just needs something to keep the application more even. and moisturizing. so i would recommend this to a friend bc the color is pretty.
Very natural pink with gold flecks. It's not too much color but it does enhance the lips. Exact same consistency and staying power as MAC glosses
I got these when there was only 1 review and was a little nervous about it, but was glad that I got them. I bought : Pageant Princess - light shimmery pink; Fierce - on the orangey/coral side. Personally, I think it has the most shimmer of the three; Trendsetter - mauve pink (I think it's close to Super Glossy Lip Shine in Malt Shake); All 3 colors are very wearable, since they are a gloss. I do agree with the others that these have more shimmer/pearly sheen. So it depends on what you like. I love the Super Glossy Lip Shine gloss, and I like these too! I'm not a big fan of the sponge tip applicator though. I would prefer it in a tube like the Super Glossy Lip Shine, but that's not stopping me from trying other colors.
I was so excited when I tried this color in Wild and discovered it was almost exactly the same as the Wild color in the Hypershine lip gloss. That one was only available in a box set and I had been wishing I could buy only that color..Very nice bright but sheer pinky coral shade. I checked the box for "pleasant tasting" since this seems to be unscented, I guess that's better than a scent people don't like. You get a lot more product with this one than some other things Elf makes. I plan to always have my new favorite color on hand and may try some of the others too.
I purchased Au Natural and Pageant Princess. Both colors were not true to the swatches online. However, They aren't bad colors either. Au Natural is a warm peachy color. Has tiny silver flecks of glitter in it, which I don't like since I can feel the flecks of glitter on my lips. Pageant Princess is a nice bubble gum pink color with a golden shimmer to it. I love this color! It gives my lips a nice sheer pink color. The formula for this lip gloss is not sticky, drying but not super moisturizing, doesn't taste or smell bad. I would like to buy Pageant Princess again.
I ordered the mineral lip gloss in Daring, and when it came in it looked a little more red in the tube than it did on the site - however, when I applied it to my lips, it was perfect! The shimmery flecks and tonal quality were just right and the shade didn't overpower my natural color - it just enhanced it with a nice, healthy glow. I like the size of the tube because I can carry it with me anywhere! It lasted quite a long time while I was wearing it. The only con is that it's a little sticky, but I'm sure that contributes to it's long wearability. Great product!
I ordered these in all the colors except for Trophy Wife. I really like the packaging that they come in which makes them sleek and portable. It kind of reminds me of a high end brand that we all know and love. The two things that I did not like about these is the sheerness of the color and the sticky consistency. They look so opaque in the tube but when you apply them they just give you a sheer wash of color (which is ok if this is what you are going for)which is not what I was looking for in these. The texture was sticky feeling which I don't like. It made my lips stick together. I was really expecting a lot more out of these than what I got. Would I repurchase? Probably not. I think I like the Elf Studio Lip Balms better.
I ordered this lip gloss in the color wild and was WILDly disappointed in it. They depict this lipgloss to be a sort of daring coral that I was very excited to try, as I had nothing like this in my make up collection. Sadly, when it arrived I discovered I owned many lip glosses this color. Pink. This lip gloss does not apply evenly and does not give a good color pay off. You need 2-3 coats to even see that its not just a clear gloss. Save your money and buy something else from ELF, because I really do love most of there products. This was just a miss for me.
I bought 5 of these lip glosses expecting to weed out a couple that I would want to re-order; and it turns out that I love all of the colors! Here is my quick description of what the colors look like: "Au Naturale": a light frosty peach (lighter than my medium skin-tone), "Pageant Princess": a bubble gum pink with very slight shimmer (this is the flattest tone of all 5 of the ones I bought-- and by "flat" i mean more like a creme sheen rather than a dazzle glass)), "Sorority Girl": a medium-toned peachy pink with a little shimmer, "Trendsetter": a frosty berry pink, and "Trophy Wife": a slight gold shimmer gloss.. which is not highly-pigmented but still enough gold to be pretty. I love them all! Very impressed!. Thank you, e.l.f.! :)
After reading reviews on here, i decided to buy one. I bought Sorority Girl. It was true to its color & is very beautiful. It has just the right amount of pigments in it so its not too vibrant & its not too sheer. Its not clumpy or sticky & it doesn't cost much. Also it has shimmers in it which are not annoying, so i really enjoy this. Now for the cons. It doesn't last long. I had to constantly keep applying this & the worst part about this is that it actually dried out my lips so badly, i had to grab a chapstick. It also doesn't smell pretty but it doesn't smell bad. I'll try this out more to give it a chance but will give it 3 stars instead of 2 because its decent. Its a beautiful color that doesn't last long. But i still would wear.
It's a nice lip gloss, actually reminds me of one I had received from [...]as a present (not sure of the name/brand). The swatches are NOT TRUE TO COLOR. I would suggest looking at the actual picture of the lip gloss, because that's the closest to the actual color that you're going to get. The au naturale that I bought did not look like the swatch but like the picture of the actual lip gloss. And by the way, Au Naturale is a nude color with shimmery sparkles that show up really nicely, not too much but not too little where they're unnoticeable.
Oh my gosh!! I have become such an elf junkie this month!! Love this new discovery, I recommend to everyone! This lipgloss is my new favorite gloss! I love trying new glosses in hopes of finding something amazing that is perfect for my lips--and this is it! I love the way it glides on...love the finish...love the moisture...love how it lasts. The shimmer is amazing...the color is beautiful, but still there's a sheerness to it (i got Au Naturale). Can't wait to try different colors...next payday, I will be loading the elf shopping basket!
I was not sure what to expect. I am hispanic with dark brown hair (some graying) and nuetral tone (light medium olive tone. I bought a coulple of the colors and found that Soroity Girl ( slight peachy pink) and Night Owl (purplish color) look great!!!I have many allergies to all sorts of cosmetic perservatives, scents and very sensitive skin. In addition to the flattering colors I have had no reactions and my lips even get conditioned. I have been using these glosses for about one year and will continue to do as long as they are sold.
I was so excited to try these lipglosses from elf because their mineral but the color I bought (trendsetter) was pretty until I put it on and noticed it was a flourescent frosty colored peachy, pink lipgloss that wears off very easily which is not the color shown. I repurchased the mineral gloss in (clear) to see how that one works with the mineral lipstick. I will report back and let you know how it works out. These would be just perfect if they had less frostiness. I love elf products and I'm hoping they re-vamp these colors :)
