I swear by false eyelashes to give any look that extra va va voom that everybody will die for, regardless of how thick and long your natural lashes may be. And as far as false eyelashes go, these E.L.F. lashes are a Godsend! They are long lasting, well shaped, full and natural looking when placed with real lashes. They also come with their own adhesive that has a screw on lid instead of a tab that has to be clipped off like other brands I've bought in the past, allowing you to use it again and again! I purchased both the natural and dramatic lashes in black, and couldn't be happier! I will tell all of my friends about these lashes, and would definitely buy them again!
I bought the dramatic lash kit and to put it simply, it's AWESOME. The lash bone is rather unique as it seems to be made of thread, which means that there is virtually no risk of the lash bone poking your eyelid and causing you pain. The lashes aren't made of real human hair yet they surprisingly look soooooooo natural and dramatic at the same time. Great for clubbing. My one and only gripe is with the white lash bone. I simply cannot comprehend why ELF would want use a lash bone that's white in colour. I would choose this over Ardell falsies anytime. This is one ELF product that i would definitely buy again.
I am a professional makeup artist working in theatre, pera and film, and we discoveredd these dirt cheap eyelashes (and the brushes)at a dollar general this summer while doing a summer opera festival in a somewhat remote area. Since budget is always a concern we thought, for $1 whats to lose? Well we went back very time they restocked and bought all the lashes in stock. The dramatic brand is best because it is dramatic but still natural, not big bat wings or drag queen lashes. These are great for large groups like theatre, opera and dance companies or every day use. The brushes are all also amazingly good!
OK...I had always tried to put on (EXPENISVE at that)false eyelashes without any accomplishment. Come to find out that I had to wait for the glue to become tacky before applying them. So once knowing that I decided to buy these inexpensive E.L.F eyelashes. Well I am here to tell you that I am HOOKED. At least on my part they went on fine and look natural. Nobody at work knew I had false eyelashes on. So I STOCKED UP and I mean really stocked up that I brought like 36 pairs with a coupon I had. And I will keep buying them as long as I can. OH...they are just as good at the expensive ones. So go with these.
I LOVE THESE LASHES!!!! There is no doubt that these lashes are absolutely great. I used to buy different lashes that were about 6 or 7 bucks a piece and I must say that in comparison there is no difference. These lashes are extremely low in cost which is great because I literally wear them EVERY single day. If your looking for a very natural look you can get the natural pack and if your going for a very bold night look you can get the dramatic lashes. I use a different glue that I have been using for a long time so I never tried the glue that comes within the sets so I cannot make a review about that.
I agree with a lot of the other reviewers- purchase extra glue if you don't already own some. Especially if you're new to falsies. I own the natural set and the dramatic set. I actually took my ELF eyeliner pen and colored the bands of the lashes because for my eyes (and lack of actual eyelashes) the band was really noticeable. Once I did that, I've been extremely happy with both sets. I tend to use the natural set everyday and the dramatic if I know I will be somewhere with cameras. For me, the dramatic eyelashes look more realistic on because of the placing on the band (and if you trim the length make it look like you have a great coat of mascara on). The natural lashes are a little spiky even after trimming. And like other reviewers, my natural lashes came in two different lengths, but are very easy to trim and for the price, you can't beat the quality of these lashes.
I purchased only 2 to try out at first and then ended up purchasing about 18. They have the dramatic and the natural and both are excellent quality in comparison to the ones you can purchase at your local pharmacy or even Sephora. To be honest.. They're actually even better then some. At [$]each at ELF compared to $3-5 dollars each at the store I'm sold and will forever continue to buy my lashes from here. I DO agree that the glue is horrendous. It took me longer to apply using the glue that came with it and I switched to one I'd previously purchased. It worked out just fine. I did take note of someone's review and I will give the ELF glue one more chance after reading the tips from ELF.
I bought the natural lash set. I haven't applied them yet but that isnt the part I am worried about. The lashes themselves are two different lengths. One is noticably longer than the other in the set. The lashes bend easily and stay bent. The sticky stuff they use to attaach the lashes to the lash platform was all over the lashes. Maybe if I cut them a bit they will look fine. They are good for everyday use, not really going out. (they are too natural) Maybe I will try the dramatic set? Maybe those are better. They arent that bad for [$] they are disposible for those "I slept in my makeup" nights.
I bought the natural ones as well as the dramatic ones. I was VERY happy with the way the natural ones looked, even though they were difficult to apply. The dramatic ones were easier to apply but you could see the white thread that holds them together. When wearing the dramatic lashes it was really obvious that I had falsh lashes on. Still, you can't beat the price! GREAT value for the price!
I've ordered the natural lashes before with an order to try them out (I'd never tried false lashes before) and I liked them enough to order them again. I couldn't see wearing them frequently as you can feel that you're wearing them, but they're great for glaming it up at parties. When applying I find it's best to wait a minute after applying the glue to the lashes before putting them on. Just do it quickly close to the lash line with a steady hand and you'll get a good result; try and resist the urge to make them perfect by pulling off and reapplying, the glue will lose it's staying power.
Well, I'm an avid lash wearer. I love trying different products and I was hoping this would be my "Holy Grail" item. It was far from grail... maybe... fail? I ordered 2 of both the natural and dramatic and I found both of the types of lashes to be cheap looking and they look so differently(dramatic compared to dramatic and natural compared to natural). The band is black which is nice if you always wear liquid liner but I found that the band was longer than the lashes, like --lllll--(the dashes being the band and the "l's" being the lashes). They had no consistency, which I find to be super annoying. As stated by many before me, the glue is terrible, I always use the same brand of glue for every pair of lashes.
I'm not a fan of these. I love that they come in brown, but unlike the picture onine they have a thick dark line that adheres to the lid. These will be noticed.
I am an avid false eyelash wearer. I always wear them when I go out to create that extra drama. I've been buying them for $10 a pop. It would make me so mad when when I would lose one since they were so expensive. These are great! They're the exact same product but for much much cheaper. When I saw that they were only [$] I couldn't believe it. They make my eyes show up and they are the perfect length. I haven't tried the natural ones yet but I'm going to order some next time. I'm stocking up on these so I no longer have to worry about losing my lashes when I go out!
I wear false lashes everyday, and let me tell you that those Dramatic lashes are the best! They fit my large eyes perfectly and the length is just right. They look very natural. Lots of compliments when I wear these. I usually wear the Ardell individual clump lashes, but these Dramatic strip lashes look just as good. Of course, buy the Duo glue - everyone knows that! I am a makeup artist, and I use these all the time. I think they are really easy to apply with the applicator that comes with the Studio Line lashes sold by elf. GREAT DEAL!!! The BEST product by Elf!!
Great for those times when you would like a little "extra" lash. I wear glasses and choose to wear my lashes on those occasions when glasses are not necessarily needed. During those times I proudly announce "Honey, I'm wearing my LASHES...not my GLASSES so you will have to read that for me." Easy to use however, be sure to purchase a separate tube of eyelash glue from a drug store. I have also had luck with washing the lashes and reusing at least 2-3 times. This made my purchase stretch that much further. Great quality and the price is definitely right. Enjoy!
THE GLUE IS WORTHLESS, GO GET a brand like "2" so I've been using elf lashes for over a year I love them, theyre a dollar and I feel quality is the same as any other brand. EXCEPT FOR THE "FLIRTY LASH PALETTE" - the Instantly Intesified Lush Lashes are great - The "Diamond lash Pallet" side was not so great: 1)I didnt know it was chunky glitter, (the names a little decieving right?) so, one eyelash was okay, the glitter was applied the same way rhinestones would be applied. the other side was half ok, and half just covered with a giant BLOB of big chunky glitter or both sides of the eye lashes. I tried to fix it but it was totally unusable. good idea, but A TOTAL FAIL. I would reccomend all the elf eyelashes EXCEPT THE GLITTER ONES
I had never put fake eyelashes on in my life but all the makeup tutorials I had been watching all used them. So I bought these along with some makeup. I figured for the price they were worth a try. I just took my time and followed the directions and they turned out great. I got compliments on my makeup all night. My lashes are very fine and light colored, so after applying these lashes and some mascara, my lashes looked thick and dark and amazing. They were worth every penny. I'm actually on here to order a couple of the full sets of lashes to try!
I wore these to prom, and got a million compliments about how long my eyelashes were. Little did they know my secret was these lashes on the outer half of my lashline. I considered getting demi lashes, but I purchased these instead when I ordered all of my other prom makeup, and I'm glad I did. They took a little while to put on because I kept on dropping them on the floor, and the glue takes a long time to get tacky, and is very difficult to use because it falls over unless you screw the cap on every single time you start a new lash. That was my complaint about the lashes. But even so, at the end of the night my eyes were still looking fabulous, so I was very happy. They're also reusable, so I'll use them again for my next special occasion!
These lashes were a good deal for the price, but I would HIGHLY recommend buying a different brand of lash glue to apply them. I've used drugstore lashes and lash glue for years without any problem, and the E.L.F. glue was really just awful: It came out of the tube with a very runny consistency, so the glue wouldn't stay on the lash strip, and it failed to adhere to my lids at all! What it DID do was sink into my lashline and become a tacky, sticky, horrible mess. I lost more than a few natural lashes trying in vain to wash the mess out.
I ordered these lashes to test out flash lashes for the first time. To be honest, I haven't applied them yet. When I got them, the lashes looked full and natural. Nothing super lush and irrationally long. I struggled to get them out of the packaging because of the flimsy plastic that they were mounted on, but once I did, I was ready to go! I read the directions, popped open the glue, punched a hole in the top..... And nothing came out. I tried everything imaginable to try and get this glue out of the tube. Soaked it in warm water, pressed and prodded, put pressure on it from every angle. The glue was ROCK HARD and solidified in the tube. I was so dissapointed. :( So, in sort, the lashes look good, but I haven't been able to put them on using E.L.F glue.
I have these lashes in natural and dramatic and I have the flirty lashes. They are all pretty good quality lashes except the gllue. I don't even bother with the glue and I buy it on its own. I find that the dramatic lashes are my favorites..I already have pretty long lashes but these worked really well for me. I wore them this weekend and in every picture I looked bright eyed and perky because of my lashes! You may have to do some trimming with the band but that is not unusual for any brand of lashes. And for the price I recommend!
The eyelashes themselves were fine (a bit too long for myself, but that's normal for me). I thought the color was fine and they were just like any other eyelashes (but cheaper!). The only problem I had was that the glue they gave me was a total waste. I had the hardest time opening it, and then after all that work, the glue was totally dried out. It frustrated me.. I don't wear fake eyelashes often enough to buy a medium to large sized tube of glue so the small one would have been the perfect size. Oh well, only a dollar.
I tried the dramatic lashes and it was my first time ever trying to apply false lashes. Even with a poor job of applying them as I did, they still looked relatively nice and eye-catching without looking so "out there" that a shy girl like me wouldn't wear them in public. Even with me not having a clue of what I was doing they went on quite easily, they stayed put nicely and it didn't hurt at all to remove them. I'm excited to practice using these more, it's amazing that such a tiny product can have such a big effect!
Im usually not one to wear false lashes ive used the nyc ones tht i would never recommend if you want a more natural look. But given short lashes these natural pair made them look AMAZING!! i love them so much i mean the glue i didnt even bother using cuz i already bought lash glue adhesive, they work amazingg i love them so much! I would definantly buy like 10 pairs instead of the two i want. I dont know how long these last but i dont really care theyre [$]!! I completly recommend these lashes there the best of elf!
I LOVE these lashes! I used to get false lashes done by hairdresser...she would add individual lashes to give me a fuller look. But, since I can't afford to get them done anymore, I needed another way to get fuller looking lashes. So, I tried these and they work great! I did use different lash glue (I had some left over from a pair of ardell's that I had). The lashes are a little more fragile than the more expensive kinds, but if you're gentle, they work just fine. 4 stars just because the glue it comes with sucks.
I am a make up artist and I use these lashes on all of my brides. The Natural Lashes give a better look than the Dramatic ones. I always have to cut the Dramatic lashes because they are too long and look fake. I recommend the Natural lashes to everyone. The glue is terrible - don't use it! I use the Duo lash adhesive and it works amazing with all eye lashes. These eyelashes are much tricker to put on than others made with real hair but, once you get the hang of it these lashes are a definite steal! Love them...
I LOVE ELF's eyelashes !I am a self taught makeup artist &for me being a 100% inexperienced makeup user, these eyelashes were extremely ..Useful, easy to use, beautiful & not to mention A F F O R D A B L E !!!How can ANYONE complain about [$] ???Okay, maybe the glue doesn't work so well -Go get another tube that will last you for months,I mean come on - Other eyelashes don't even include glue !The natural/dramatic lashes are my personal fave -They can be natural for everyday look or just add some HOTT eyeshadows & liners to give them a more "WOW look at me" kind of look. The one's with the stones are gorgeous, but not as easy to apply. All in all --there's NO possible way you can lose with these eyelashes, you've got nothing to lose & everything to gain.Believe in that M.U.A's !
I love fake lashes and these are no exception. As all have stated, this glue is trash, but who cares, I have my own glue.I reeaaallly love the individual lashes. I order several sets at a time and keep them around. I love to add a few to the ends of my lash line to create a dramatic effect. The full lashes are also great. People who say they don't look natural... well... they're fake lashes. I think you'll kind of have that. These are literally NO different than the fake lashes I've spent $8+ a set for.
I have the Dramatic Lashes in brown. My new favorites--I wear them every day. I can't comment on the included glue--always use Duo Darktone. One tiny con: the lashband is a tiny bit stiff, so the initial application is a little tricky. But after the first application, they're molded to your lashline. If you're new to lashes, I suggest practicing with a pair of Ardells or Andreas, then, after you've mastered them, switching to these! (You'll want to keep your Ardell box--e.l.f. boxes don't reclose.)
i love these lashes because they just make my eyes pop! and they give me a fuller lash look. the thing i hate about it is that its way too soft and fragile to deal with. it doesnt really have a natural curl, so when i apply the lashes they go back in a straight line, rather than sticking with my eye curve. one more thing is you better be sure you have lash glue! there was not enough glue in the little tube that came with the lashes!! other than that i love how the lashes look, so full and gorgeous!
