Rated 2 out of 5 by from Goes on poorly I got this in a few colours and was really excited to use this, but they go on very uneven! I tried a few ways of applying (to clear nails, then buffed, with and without a base coat) and every time it was very streaky and patchy. I likely won't get to wear them much as they make my nails look inexpensive with their uneven coverage. I do like that they changed their formula to be less chemical filled though, maybe they still have a few kinks to work out to make the formula its best? The colours of the pink polishes is also different from what they seem online.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets the job done I have these nail polishes in lilac and pearl(dont think pearl is still available). And they are average. The colors are very different then shown. The lilac color looks as if it is a white creamy lilac when it is actually a grey-ish purple. I was disappointed in that but the color was still ok, I was just expecting something different. The formula is good and there is a nice wide range of colors. Try some of these out to see how you like them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty Typical I got a bottle of the color Glamour Girl and the first thing I noticed was the color.....very different from what was pictured on the website. I was expecting a lighter, warmer color. Instead it is more of a tinted coffee color. I would recommend getting this product in a store and not online.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Painted my nails Saturday and it's now Monday and over half of all my nails are chipped/flaked off to where it's not just on the tips but the whole nail bed. The smell is okay, there is a slight perfume smell to it, maybe to cover the usual strong nail polish smell. The color I purchased (Dragon Fruit) is pretty. Overall probably won't purchase again. Definitely get what you pay for in this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised! I was heading to a party the next day and didn't have time to get a manicure. I remembered I got the lavender nail polish in a beauty bundle and it matched my dress perfectly. Four days later, I am pleasantly surprised that it has barely chipped at all and it only took two coats to get the same color intensity as what's in the bottle. Amazing buy for $2!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MEH The colors are a bit off I have this in the color Garnet and its REALLY purple(ish) after one day of wear it chips and peels off your nails. I will buy more just need to find a good top coat I guess.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Electric Pink is red not pink I bought this polish in Electric Pink and it is not pink. It is bright red like the crayon color red. If you like red then you might like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from RAWRrrrrr... I got High Tide, Purple Dream,Mango Madness and Flirty. I hate the High Tide color. Its more of a blackish brownish than a very dark blue. The other colors look great. The Mango Madness color is ok. Something about it just doesn't look right. It Peels off in strips too. But when i comes time to remove NO brand of nail polish remover works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought "Bubblegum Pink" and some gray shade. The pink color is beautiful, but the polish chips off by the end of the day, even with topcoat. I really wanted to love this but it chips off more than any nail polish I have ever tried. Overall, I LOVE elf products but this one is a fail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not true to color, but good quality for the price I recently bought these in Teal Blue, Skinny Jeans, and Mambo Mauve. Like a lot of other reviewers have mentioned, the polishes are definitely 1-2 shades darker than the swatches on the website. Skinny Jeans and Teal Blue (pictured) are lovely colors. I'm not a huge fan of Mambo Mauve mostly because it's a raisiny color and it goes on streakier than the others. In general, the polish goes on thick and easy. With Teal Blue and Skinny Jeans you could probably get away with only one coat. I've found they work really well with a good base coat and Gelous polish. Despite the differences in color, I definitely think these are great and worth a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great polish for the price... I have this in several colors, dries fast and I only need one coat to get opaque color. But why did they discontinue the color Innocent?? Best beige-y nude color I've ever used, the Nude color they currently sell is actually more of a peach and I don't care for it with my skin tone. Please bring back Innocent so I can stock up!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extra prep needed for oily nail beds! The colors are great, the consistency is great, the drying time is okay. But if you have oily nail beds like me, you'll need to take a few extra steps before you apply e.l.f.'s nail polish or it will just start chipping and peeling pretty much as soon as it's dried.I went to a cosmetics store and got a good dehydrator and a really good base coat which allows e.l.f.'s polishes to adhere my nails and last 4-5 days before they started to chip or peel. If you don't have oily nail beds then I'm sure you wouldn't have any of these problems with e.l.f.'s polish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY FAVORITE NAIL POLISHES! I bought a holiday quad during December and these are great nail polishes. They stay on, are easy to take off, and easy to put on and dry within 10 minutes give or take a few! I love E.L.F! They're my favorite makeup and other beauty stuff brand! They do chip a little but you can fix them easily!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from nailpolish it is not chip proof and it peels off in water days after it is not worth the 2.00$

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pleased overall I bought this in Prissy Chrissy. I thought the color would be a slightly brighter or more pink but it's still a really nice nude pink, very similar to what's pictured but not quite as bright. The smell definitely isn't as strong as other nail polishes. Looking forward to getting more colors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love love love Only negative thing i have to say about ELF nail polishes, are that the colour is a bit off from the picture.. expect 1-3 shades darker when received. BUUT i got over it, and still love the darker colours i got! this has to be one of my favourite nail polish brands! I prefer it better than Essie, OPI and all those hyped up nail polishes. Elf nail polish does chip within the first few days, but all my other nail polishes chip the day of!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW so happy I have to say I just got my first order from elf which included this nail polish in mod mauve color. I am so happy with this polish! The quality is really surprising. This color is so beautiful and would go with any outfit. I am ordering a bunch more colors now that I have seen how beautifully this stuff goes on. YAY!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad smell, bad formula, color deception I really wanted to like these polishes, the colors shown on the site look so pretty and other colors look so pretty in the bottle too. But I've used about 5-6 elf polishes I own so far and I doubt I'll ever buy any again. The smell is awful! It's like a mixture of very strong standard polish smell mixed with artificial bubblegum scent...just weird and very strong almost making you lightheaded. Formula is very patchy, even the more opaque shades will need a few coats which takes a very very long time to dry. And the colors shown on the site are much MUCH lighter than what you actually get. The prissy crissy color which I though looked like an everyday nice nude color really looks like an orange color on your nails, just awful! There are better quality polishes at the drugstore for the same in not lower prices, I'll stick with those.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not true to color I ordered the transparent, Green Machine, Prissy Chrissy and Desert Haze. I love the transparent, that I use as a top coat. Green Machine is a nice dark green, true to color. But Desert Haze and Prissy Chrissy are not as they appear on the swatches. They are darker and not as bright. It lasts 3-4 days with top coat which I think is really good for a cheap nail polish. I will eventually order again but check the comments on colors first.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great colors, chips easily I got this in dark purple and dark green. Both are GREAT colors that I received lots of compliments on, but my nails chipped within a day. I always have them painted so as not to bite, but these are just chipping away, even with a top coat. They also apply very thinly so even with 2 coats and a top coat you can see all the little marks and ridges in my nails. I want to like these but I just can't.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Ideal I tried several colors that could be classified as "spring tones", and they are more neon than pale hues (Mint Cream and Coral). Both required a few coats to achieve true coverage, however they both started chipping within 24 hours. For a quick change, or a specific color for an event this wouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't recommend this polish for the everyday wearer who likes a long lasting polish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only ELF disappointment so far I absolutely love ELF products and have received many orders I've been very happy with.  I was excited to try these polishes based on the color variety and the price.  I painted my nails around noon and used a high-end top coat, and my nails were significantly chipped in less than 24 hours.  I don't have a ton of time to repaint my nails on a daily basis and I am looking for something with a little more long lasting wear.  These polishes would only be good for someone looking for a one-night only polish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from darker than pictured i JUST got these in the mail today and i was alittle taken aback by the first color i unwrapped. i got the liquid metal and its a nice bright silver on the picture on the sight but in real life it's like a sparkly kinda dark smokey gray....i even checked the bottom lable to see if it was the right one i wanted. it's ok though because it's still really pretty and i can work with it anyways. HOWEVER, the other color i got was disappointing. i ordered the color "skinny jeans" because on the site it was like a really pretty kinda of darker periwinkle color but in real life it looks like a freaking dark cobalt blue....im REALLY hoping it dries lighter because if i wanted cobalt i could already use the one i have.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from enchanted is so cool!!! I bought the limited edition sets in the cubes and really love enchanted in particular. It puts white spots different sizes on your nails. My nails look like speckled Easter eggs! So cool! Love the rest so far too!! My three year old was almost as fascinated as I was. He decided he had to have speckles too. Oops! Put over pastels for spring or blue for a denim look. Would be really cute over dark blue and   snow flake decal thumbs will look like snow!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Colors aren't pigmented I bought this in a few different colors a couple years back and I really wanted to love them... However, the colors aren't strong and need a few coats to get a true pigmented color for me. Maybe I'm not waiting long enough in between coats, but the polish is really runny and thin and I got really tired of having to wipe the sides of my fingers because the polish would run over and I had to clean up the mess. I specifically remember the white one having this issue a lot. I'm going to give these another try in a few different shades because the price is pretty good and I really want to experiment with colors. Hopefully they've changed the formula...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loved it the first application The first time I applied this polish (coral, to be specific), it went on rather well. It streaked, but the stuff was like magic, because when it dried, they pretty much disappeared. This was just two weeks ago...Fast forward to today, I'm now 40 weeks pregnant, and exhausted all natural induction methods. I thought I would pamper myself and take my mind off of how sick I was of being pregnant and do my nails. It ended in tears, as ridiculous as that may sound to anyone who's never been pregnant before...The first coat went on ok, but the second looked horrendous. Streaks and skids every where. I'm not sure if it's the new formula or the brush or what....and I didn't leave the cap off for long the first time I applied it (I have 4 other kids and can only do one hand, one coat at a time). After removing and reapplying at least 5 times, I thought I'd clean the brush off with a little non-acetone remover. The bristles fell out! What'd they attach  them with?! Nail polish?? So now I have a brand new bottle of polish with no brush, and only one hand complete. What could be my favorite polish, simply due to the fact that it doesn't chip easily (old formula lasted longer), has now been marred by it's difficult application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improved formula is great! I first bought this nail polish 4 years ago...and it absolutely sucked. I wasn't going to buy it again, but  I got a freebie as part of a promotion. I noticed a definite improvement; their old formula left a white film, whereas this was pretty much perfect. Goes on a little thick but color is perfect and doesn't chip off right away. For $2 nail polish it's what you would expect. Would definitely buy again. Also the smell is rather pleasant compared to most nail polishes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goes on smooth & Great color I went a little crazy buying polish, I am current sporting reverse french manicures: on my toes is High Tide/Seascape and on my nails is Mod Mauve/Cranberry.  The colors are darker than the swatches appear on the web site. I wouldn't let this deter you though, the coverage you get is amazing and if you are a little heavy handed (like I am when doing my right hand) the colors smooth out wonderfully! There is no strong paint fume smell with these. One small nit pick, if you are trying for fine lines or nail art, get a different brush the one in the bottle is very thick. I use a OPI base coat and top coat with these and have not had any issues with cracking or chipping.
